Man nabbed from Bengaluru for ‘duping teacher over bitcoin’

Matunga police have arrested a 31-year-old man from Bengaluru who would allegedly dupe traders underneath the pretext of giving them excessive returns on the funding in crypto mining scheme. The accused has been recognized as Mohammad Jabir, who created a cell app on Crypto mining funding scheme, police mentioned.

According to the police, not too long ago a teacher at a Matunga-based faculty had approached them with a criticism that he had been duped of Rs 2.47 lakh within the scheme. The police mentioned the teacher initially acquired a textual content message on his cell phone which promised traders of returns of Rs 2,000 per day.

The complainant then opened the hyperlink and downloaded an utility referred to as Arohash from the Play Store. Soon after he acquired a name from an individual named Arav Khurana who launched a Bitcoin Mining Scheme. Initially, he invested Rs 2,000 and instantly acquired the promised quantity. Thinking it’s a real funding scheme, he invested Rs 2.47 lakh. However after a couple of days, the accused eliminated their purposes from Play Store, citing technical causes, deleted the WhatsApp group which he had created and didn’t return any refund. He realised that he has been cheated and approached the police.
