SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police are calling on residents to bear in mind of Bitcoin scams that goal to steal cash from susceptible individuals, by asking for cash by cryptocurrency.
The division issued a launch on Thursday reminding those that no authentic enterprise will ask for fee in both cryptocurrency or reward playing cards. It’s a standard scamming tactic to attempt to obtain cash by crypto because it’s basically untraceable.
They’re telling residents and companies that if somebody calls trying this sort of rip-off: simply dangle up.
