Democrats want EPA to investigate impacts of crypto mining

A gaggle of House democrats want the Environmental Protection Agency to look into the environmental results of crypto mining, citing “critical considerations” about air pollution and greenhouse fuel emissions.

Two dozen legislators, led by Rep. Jared Huffman (D-Calif.), sent a letter to the EPA this week asking the regulatory physique to be sure that mining corporations had been in compliance with the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
